About us
ARPEJ, Association of Residences for Students and Young People, is a non-profit association under the French Act of 1901, founded in 1989 at the initiative of a subsidiary of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (French Deposits and Consignments Fund). The Association is specialized in managing residences for students, young professionals and researchers.
Our mission
With 86 residences in France and 12 500 accommodated, ARPEJ is a key player for temporary accommodation for young people under 30.
Our job of managing residences requires us to be highly versatile today. It is essential for us to deliver high-quality community-based management for our residents, but also to build relationships based on trust and exchange with our partners (schools, universities, student associations, local authorities, town halls, etc.).

Our ambition
We wish to be instrumental in transforming the housing landscape for young people. To do this, we aim to manage +700 extra dwellings per year.
Our actions
It is also a priority for us to ensure that the property assets which are entrusted to us are kept in good condition: as such, we allocate +5% of our turnover every year.
Being able to tailor to the requests and needs of our partners and our residents is a prerequisite which ARPEJ teams set themselves every day.
ARPEJ, committed to housing and well-being for young people
Here, at ARPEJ, we are convinced that there is a strong link between housing and young people fulfilling their goals. Our Association is built around this raison d’être. In other words, residences for young people should not only be considered as accommodation but more broadly as living spaces which provide tools for these tenants, who will go on to become tomorrow’s citizens, to fulfil their goals.
Our ambition goes far beyond just providing accommodation to young people. We prioritize high-quality, functional living spaces, enhanced by free services which are unifying and lead the way to greater independence. The teams are committed and dedicate their cause to socialization, through collective actions encouraging engagement. Residents are provided with keys which are inspirational in their quest for independence.
As a Social and Solidarity Economy player and specialist in managing residences for students, young professionals and researchers, we strive on a daily basis to guarantee and increase our offer of accommodation and, as such, welcome young people under optimal conditions with an across-the-board panel of services.
