Description of services
The aim of the arpej.fr site is to provide information concerning all the ARPEJ Association’s activities and services. Despite regularly updating our data, we cannot be held liable for any omissions, inaccuracies or deficiencies as regards the information on the site, whether they have been caused by us or by partner third parties. All the information on the www.arpej.fr site is given for information purposes only, is subject to change and is not exhaustive.
Limitation of liability
ARPEJ cannot be held liable for hardware or software damage related to the use of the *.
arpej.fr site or the appearance of malfunction or incompatibility.
We advise you to use recent hardware, with a latest-generation browser updated to optimize your browsing on our website (e.g. Chrome).
ARPEJ reserves the right to delete, without prior notice, any content posted on the site which contravenes legislation applicable in France, in particular provisions relating to data protection and to respecting etiquette on networks. ARPEJ also reserves the right to question the user’s civil and/or criminal liability, in particular in the event of a racist, insulting, defamatory or pornographic message, irrespective of the medium used.
Intellectual property
The content disseminated on the ARPEJ site (photos, images, editorial content, graphics, logos, icons, sounds, etc.) and the elements required for it to work correctly (software) are protected by intellectual property rights. Any unauthorized use of the site or of any of the elements contained within will be considered as an infringement and will be subject to legal proceedings pursuant to the provisions of Articles L.335-2 et al of the French Intellectual Property Code.
Applicable law
This charter falls within the framework of the laws in effect at the date of consultation of its latest version (namely the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) Act No. 78-87 of 6 January 1978, in particular amended by Act No. 2004-801 of 6 August 2004 relating to information technology, files and freedoms, Act No. 2004-575 of 21 June 2004 on confidence in the digital economy, Regulation No. 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR-, etc.)
Any dispute relating to the use of the ARPEJ site is subject to French law and the Créteil court will have sole jurisdiction, even in the event of multiple defendants or compulsory joinders of third parties.

Personal data collection
ARPEJ undertakes to protect the privacy of your personal data.
The Data Privacy Statement hereof describes ARPEJ’s rules and practices regarding the collection, use, processing, storage, transfer, protection and disclosure of information which we may collect about you on our website https://www.arpej.fr or via any sub-domain of ARPEJ’s websites (ibail.arpej.fr).
Pursuant to applicable data protection law, before accessing and using our websites, you must approve the General Terms and Conditions of this ARPEJ Data Privacy Statement and as such authorize the collection, processing and use of information about you.
Your personal data (as defined below) will be collected, analysed, processed, used, disclosed and stored pursuant to the purpose of the processing defined by this Statement.
To this end, ARPEJ undertakes to comply with all the provisions of the GDPR and the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL) Act.
Which personal data do we process?
“Personal data” refers to data which can be used to directly or indirectly identify an individual.
We only collect and use your personal data when it is required for the purposes of our activity, and to propose accommodation, parking areas and high-quality, customized services to you.
Based, in particular, on the type of accommodation or service we provide you with, we may collect different categories of personal data from you, in particular:
- Identifying information (e.g. first name, last name, nationality, place and date of birth, gender, etc.);
- Contact information (e.g. postal address, email address, phone number);
- Family situation (e.g. marital status, number of children);
- Economic, financial and tax information (e.g. salary and other income);
- Training and employment information (e.g. education level, school, job, name and address of employer, salary);
- Should you wish to request a direct debit, we collect banking, financial and transactional data (e.g. account number, bank details);
- Connection and tracking data (e.g. timestamp, cookies, connection to online services, extranet, etc.),
subject to your explicit and prior consent where required.
Unless required by law, we never ask you for personal data relating to your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data or sexual orientation.
The list of documents which ARPEJ may ask for when assessing your application, the processing of your housing application is based on the decree relating to the supporting documents to be provided to support an application for social housing, in particular: identity card, passport, residence permit, student card, proof of scholarship, income tax statement, employment contract, pay slips and proof of identity and situation of the guarantor.
Once the contractual relationship has been established, your consent is renewed when you sign your rental agreement, which includes specific provisions on the processing of your personal data.
Use of your personal data
You voluntarily provide us with your personal data by filling in the sections of our website: we use it to provide you with information about your rental application, to submit your application for given accommodation, to create a rental account, to provide customer service, to answer specific questions, to give you the opportunity to participate in our competitions/surveys, to manage a job application and/or to give you access to other offers or information related to our rental management activity.
We also use the information we collect to improve the content of our website, to inform our customers of updates to our website and our products and to contact them regarding marketing and commercial matters related to the specific needs and interests of each tenant, in particular for the renewal of their rental agreement.
Accuracy and retention of your personal data
ARPEJ endeavours to facilitate your updating of your personal data, which helps us ensure its accuracy. Your personal data will only be stored for the time required to fulfil the purposes described in this Data Privacy Statement or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
Disclosure to third parties, service providers and others
To manage and improve our Customer Relationship, ARPEJ may store, process and share your personal data with our partners and affiliates around the world (e.g. distribution partners, credit card processors, data hosts and service providers) to perform an action or complete a transaction concerning your accommodation rental.
ARPEJ also calls on its partners and affiliates to provide you with useful services on its behalf. The third parties with whom we share your personal data and non-personal summary data are all subject to the data privacy laws and terms and conditions relevant and applicable to ARPEJ’s Data Privacy Statement.
ARPEJ ensures that all national and international partners and affiliates who receive your data protect it with the same diligence and pursuant to the same rules as ARPEJ. For the purposes of this Data Privacy Statement, non-personal data combined with personal data is treated as personal data.
To provide you with these services, we require your explicit consent to share your personal data with these partners and affiliates. You can exercise your withdrawal option at any time by sending an email with your first and last name to dpo@arpej.fr
Restrictions
For the purposes of legal proceedings, litigation and/or at the request of public and governmental authorities. ARPEJ may disclose your personal data for the purposes of investigating security threats, to comply with requests from public authorities or for other matters of public interest, in so far as we deem that disclosure is reasonably necessary to apply our general terms and conditions, to protect our operations and our users.
Cookies and other technology
For its website, advertising, emails and online services, ARPEJ may use specific automatic data collection technology such as cookies and web beacons or tracking pixels. Data, including personal data about you, may be collected while you use our website, our products or when you interact with us.
Collecting data from our users enables us to better understand their behaviour, the searches they perform and the pages of our websites they visit. Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users. This enables us to provide you with a satisfying experience when you browse our website and to improve it. A cookie is a block of data stored on your computer’s hard drive by your web browser. A “web beacon” (also known as an invisible GIF or tracking pixel) helps us better manage our website with data on content effectiveness. A web beacon is embedded in a web page or email to keep track of user activity on the page or email. Just like a cookie, a beacon tracks a user’s visits and transmits data to the server. However, unlike cookies, a web beacon is not and cannot be used for identification purposes, nor can it store data on your computer, as it is browser-independent.

Please note that this unsubscription does not apply to contractual emails and SMS linked to ARPEJ’s commercial relationship with its tenants.
Data security
ARPEJ pays the utmost attention to the security of your personal data. ARPEJ takes the necessary technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal data you provide us with against any accidental or illegal destruction, loss or alteration and to prevent any unauthorized disclosure or access.
Data security breach
ARPEJ has implemented strict security checks, software and intrusion detection processes designed to alert us in the event of potential or real intrusion in our information systems. ARPEJ has implemented a data breach notification strategy and has a response team. In the event of an incident, this team will react immediately and initiate a corrective plan in response to any unauthorized access to our information systems or databases. In the event of a data security breach that may affect your personal data, you will be notified as quickly as possible, once the breach has been detected.
Non-personal data collection and use
When you visit the www.arpej.fr website (or other ARPEJ websites), non-personal data may be automatically collected, even if you do not register on the website. This data concerns, for example, the operating system you are using, the domain name or website that redirected you to our website, the number of visits you have made, the average time spent on a page and the pages you have consulted. We may use this data and share it, where appropriate, with subcontractors around the world for the purposes of monitoring content and its relevance and improving the performance, content or your experience on our websites.

Pursuant to the law applicable, this data may be considered as personal data. Third-party websites and links
ARPEJ is solely accountable for the privacy practices of the arpej.fr website. The ARPEJ website may contain links to other websites providing additional information and for purposes of convenience. ARPEJ does not control these other sites and declines all liability as regards their privacy practices. Some of ARPEJ’s websites include interactive features which enable users to publish their own content. Any information published on these blogs or forums becomes public, which means that it can be read, collected or used by other users in various ways. ARPEJ is not accountable for the personal data you decide to publish on these forums.

If you browse the “Job offers” section of our website or if you apply for a job, your application and any additional data you provide may be used to assess your skills and interest in career opportunities at ARPEJ. ARPEJ may keep this data for reporting purposes that may be required by applicable law.
Right to be forgotten
ARPEJ undertakes to take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal data subject of a request to be forgotten can be removed using existing technology within a reasonable period of time from the date the request is made. ARPEJ will do everything in its power to remove your personal data if you withdraw your consent to receive information from us and exercise your right to be forgotten. However, ARPEJ will not be able to remove all your personal data if this is technically impossible due to the limitations of existing technology or for legal reasons.
This right to be forgotten does not apply and cannot be invoked against ARPEJ with regard to data which you have made public by participating in our FAQs or which you yourself have disclosed to a third party.
Privacy of children’s data
The ARPEJ website is not intended for children.
ARPEJ will not knowingly collect personal data from any person who is a legal minor pursuant to applicable law without insisting on prior parental consent if required by applicable law. If ARPEJ needs to use or to disclose the personal data of a legal minor, ARPEJ will seek parental consent pursuant to the law and regulations applicable in order to protect the minor.

Our systems are subject to change as is the Data Privacy Statement hereof. Changes made to the Data Privacy Statement hereof as well as the date of the most recent revision will be published on www.arpej.fr. ARPEJ undertakes to respond to any reasonable request to review your personal data and to modify, correct or delete any inaccuracies. We encourage you to take note of the maximum retention periods for each type of document:
- Subletting agreement / Residence agreement / Rental agreement: Retained for 5 years

ARPEJ has been using electronic signatures since 1/06/2019 pursuant to the eIDAS Regulation which establishes the rules for the use and legal recognition of electronic signature procedures in European Union member countries.
